Workshop Assistant Team Leader, salary £25,225 (+ Overtime). Full Time, Permanent based on the outskirts of Exeter. This will be working Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm.
Due to growth, Wise Employment are seeking an experienced Workshop Assistant Team Leader for one of our fastest growing clients. This is a hands on role manufacturing sheet metal components, using a range of machinery and skills along with supporting within the management functions.

Within this role, you will be required to provide cover for team leader absence which will enable you to fully manage teams and develop a management skillset.
In order to be successful in this role, you would need to be a skilled and experienced production operative looking to move into a management career or you already have experience of managing a small team within a process driven or fabrication/metal work environment.
As the Workshop Assistant Team leader, you will help with overseeing the Sheet metal fabrication area covering various equipment so knowledge/experience of some would be advantageous; CNC Press Brakes, CNC Punch, Chop Saws, Riveting & Assembly, Press area, Welding area (MIG, TIG & Spot Weld), Automated Shot Blaster, Wet & Powder Coating Paint Lines).
Key Skills required for a Workshop Assistant Team Leader:
We are looking for experience in following process controls and completing paperwork accurately to support this. You will be able to work effectively under pressure and be willing to train across various skilled operations. You will be required to also have experience using technical drawings and working within stated tolerances.
It would also be beneficial is you have experience within Sheet metal and/or metal fabrication and skilled in using measuring equipment such as protractors, verniers/calipers etc.
