Production Planning Manager

Job Description

Wise Employment are currently recruiting for a Production Planning Manager for an established production company based in the Callington area of Cornwall. This is a Permanent (site based) full time role offering a competitive salary as well as many fantastic benefits. This is a Thursday to Sunday position working 6.30am – 4.30pm.

What your day will look like:

This is an exciting role as a Production Planning Manager and will see you have to direct and control the manufacturing process through the effective utilisation and coordination of materials and resources. You will produce effective and timely plans and safeguard customer service at optimum cost to the business.

This role will also involve helping to resolve any issues within the Supply Chain end to end that impact improvements in performance.

You will be accountable for compiling the daily plan for prep, production and packing and balance capacity daily and also within a 2-week daily capacity view.  

As Production Planning Manager you will assist in stock control, generating a 7 day plan, conduct data analysis to plot trends and spot opportunities and also generate effective plans based on predefined (de-fault) plans that minimise planned downtime.

Experience required:

For this role you will need to be a Production Planning Manager or perhaps Production Planning Supervisor seeking a career progression role.  You will have strong knowledge of constraint planning and scheduling methods in food manufacturing preferably and also planning/scheduling experience.

This role requires a good sense of organisation and time management as no day will be the same so ability to adapt is key.
