Job Description

Wise Employment are currently recruiting for a General Ledger Associate for an established production company based in the Callington area to work and support their General Ledger Team.  This is a Permanent Hybrid (2/3 day in the office) full time role on on a salary of £20-21K DOE as well as many fantastic benefits.

What your day will look like:

This is an exciting role with the opportunity to progress with an established company. The right person for this role will be responsible for processing Customs declarations for Northern Ireland goods movement. Additional duties include supporting the general ledger team and other shared services teams with treasury tasks, financial queries and administrative requirements as needed. The right candidate will also need to provide excellent customer service and communication as you will be speaking with customer sites, suppliers, and any other 3rd parties such as external auditors and HMRC.

You will need to assist with general ledger duties such as expense claim processing and various preparation of processing payments and transfers. Day to day tasks involve various ad – hoc finance tasks requested and supporting other shared service teams with specific finance queries. As the General Ledger Associate need you will assist with various tasks including -  preparation of bank reconciliations and balance sheets, audit process and working with colleagues & auditors on any specific queries.

Experience required:

For this role you will need good, demonstrable computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office/ Word, Excel, Power Point, Shared Point, Outlook & Teams).

You will also require excellent communication to work well within teams and with Key stakeholders.

The right candidate to be able to show an understanding of customer satisfaction as its the foundation of our success.

Previous experience of using/ interrogating financial software & Systems (Desirable)

This role requires a good sense of organisation and time management as no day will be the same so ability to adapt is key.

Previous experience of working within a fast- paced finance team.

This is a Monday – Friday position 8.30am – 5pm. Permanent office based role
