Job Description

Wise Employment are currently recruiting for an exciting permanent opportunity for a Retail Deputy Manager for a new branch opening in Plymouth.  This will be an amazing career role to work for one of the oldest and leading pawnbrokers in the UK.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Retail Deputy Manager who is driven and focused on building customer relationships whilst maximizing sales by motivating the team.

You will ideally have Assistant/Deputy management experience or worked as a Retail Supervisor recently.

You will be assisting the shop manager in overseeing the daily shop operations and expected to meet specific financial goals as well as maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. 

You will need to have strong customer service experience within a retail environment and some supervisory or management experience along with excellent numeracy and communication skills (oral and written).

You will have an approachable and friendly demeanor and be reliable and trustworthy.  You will have the ability to build excellent rapport and be engaging.

This role will be working 5 days out of 6 (Monday to Saturday 9am to 530pm) and as Deputy Manager, you will be required to work one in two Saturdays with a day off in the week.

This role will be subject to references and an enhanced DBS check (costs are covered if you don’t have one on the update service already) and training may involve stays away within the South where all expenses are covered (food, accommodation and travel).
