Outstanding Kickstart Placement for Retail/Office Whizz!

We have an outstanding opportunity to work for a Company called Butterfly Occasions (part of KPC Entertainment).  The Company is well known in Swindon, as a retail business, selling all sorts of balloons, banners and accessories for all those special occasions.

The Company is now moving to being an online retail business and the owner is offering a Kickstart placement for a budding individual who wants to get really involved with the new business!

Here you will have the opportunity to be involved, for the next 6 months in many activities and it could possibly lead to a permanent position.  The role will give you the opportunity to learn the online business from customer service, stock allocation to social media and marketing. 

As an Administration Assistant you will be involved in the following duties and reporting directly to the owner.

  • General Correspondence  - good typing ability required
  • Customer Service – Answering the telephone and taking messages and managing queries.
  • Supporting the Marketing and Social media for the company
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning
  • Competitor research on pricing and similar industry information
  • Picking and packing of goods for shipment
  • Liaison with couriers and going with small parcels to the Post Office
  • Stock Checking
  • Data Input on Accounts for sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Generally support for the smooth running of the business.

The position is based in Swindon and working from offices at the owners premises.   This Kickstart placement is 6 months, paid at National Minimum Wage and to start with, 25 hours per week which may increase.  Daily hours to be agreed.

To carry out this role you will need:

  • A good standard of education with a minimum grade C or above in both English and Maths
  • Good typing ability
  • Excellent  communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent customer service ability
  • A keen interest in retail and marketing.
