Job Description

Wise Employment are recruiting for a Digital Trading Assistant for one of our established clients in Plymouth.

The Digital Trading Assistant will deliver online trading and product merchandising strategy across several key product categories. You will have complete responsibility for sales and conversion targets in these major selling areas, whilst working closely with the relevant buying teams to understand product development and commercial opportunities in each category.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective online merchandising of product on our customer-facing transactional website, leading to increased sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction, using all tools at their disposal including but not limited to browse, navigation, creative, and search elements. Identify missing opportunities where each product category could be further improved. Using google analytics to increase website traffic.

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for sales revenues generated by product categories they are responsible for
  • Accountability for Digital Trading KPIs including online conversion rate, category bounce rates
  • Reporting on these KPIs including sales in an effective manner, using standard retail sales analysis as well as more complex web analytics metrics
  • Using data to discover actionable insights that will improve category performance
  • Ensuring the brand is maintained and protected within the scope of online trading & merchandising
  • Developing a full understanding of the online category statistics, the product range, new product development, range planning, and commercial factors relating to their product categories
  • Being a liaison point between individual Buying departments and the Multichannel division, working closely on product promotion decisions and product launches, relaying back multichannel performance statistics, challenges, and pertinent commercial information as appropriate and ensure campaigns and events are stocked with a full product range.
  • Look into missing opportunities where we can adapt / have a more diverse product range per your product category
  • Using data to identify products that sell well together and ensuring this is displayed for each product.

Requirements

  • Experience within an ecommerce position.
  • Marketing/Business Management Degree or similar
  • Excel knowledge and experience
  • Highly motivated with proficient organisational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Confident team player.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with a competitive rate of pay.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08.45 – 17.30
