Are you a Buying Assistant looking for a new, full-time opportunity? Wise Employment have an exciting temporary to permanent opportunity in the Plymouth area. With exceptional customer-service at the core of the business, you will be joining a market-leading company who have huge plans for expansion and growth.
You will be supporting the Senior Buying team to increase sales and maximize profits. You will do this by assisting with the sourcing, listing, managing and developing of product ranges. In this role you must have a commercial awareness as you will also be monitoring competitor activity. As you progress within the department, you will also be required to attend supplier meetings, showroom and trade shows.
You will be dynamic, committed and confident with an ability to remain calm in challenging situations. You must also be able to demonstrate knowledge of and an interest in retail from previous work experience. Strong written, numerical and Excel skills are also essential to be successful in this role. A degree is preferred, but not essential and you will have exceptional administrative, organisational and prioritsation skills. Above all, a desire to work hard and progress within a growing business is what we are really looking for.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 845am until 530pm and offers a competitive rate of pay.
In return, this role will offer the opportunity to work in a modern office, weekly pay, emailed payslips and holiday pay for the first 12 weeks then if successful, you will move over to a permanent role.
