Job Description

Are you an Imports Assistant with Customs experience andlooking for a new, full-time opportunity?

Due to exceptional growth, an exciting and challenging opportunity is available so Wise Employment are currently recruiting for this role based in the Plymouth area.  

Due to the Customs experience required, we will only be accepting applications if you have the following; customs warehousing procedures, customs clearance procedures which include entry instructions, C88 and E2 documentation detail and tariff classifications.

You will be registering container orders, processing shipping documents and raising and checking international payments. You will be responsible for tariff classification and preparing customs entries and monitoring shipment clearances. 

You will be required to monitor freight costs and investigate and resolve any issues such as delivery discrepancies and freight costing corrections.  You will also provide general administrative assistance within the busy and fast paced department.

It is essential to have excellent Excel skills (a test will be required at interview stage) and an exceptional eye for detail with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.  You should have excellent accuracy and organisational skills as you will be working with a lot of data and spreadsheets.  You will need to have a minimum of a years’ experience working within an imports role with customs knowledge.
