Shop Manager Plymouth

37.5 hours per week

£9.96 per hour / £19,841 per annum

An amazing opportunity has arisen with our client, a leading independent local charity.

They are looking for a Shop Manager to support the volunteers and retail team and report into the Retail Area Manager, reviewing the performance of the shop.

The post is full time working a 37.5 hour week (9am to 5pm) and will require to work Saturdays (on a rota basis as well as bank holidays).

You will have good interpersonal and social communication and customer care skills.

You will ensure customers, volunteers and colleagues are treated with respect and a friendly but professional manner.

Our client has a standard for providing excellent customer service to all volunteers and you will be expected to champion this.

You will have previous experience within Customer Service with the ability to recognise and understand customer needs.  We are seeking a minimum of 6 months experience within retail and desirably within the charity sector.  You also need to demonstrate previous line management experience.

You will need to take responsibility for organising your own workload and oversee stock sorting, rotation and overall presentation.  Any unsaleable items will need to be sorted and prepared for recycling or waste.

This role will see you responsible for handling cash and working to achieve and aim to exceed annual sales budgets and gift aid claim targets.

Previous Administration and IT are required as you will be asked to carry out general admin tasks

This role may involve occasional direct exposure to emotional circumstances such as contact with patients or their families so you will need to have an empathetic nature.
